MARIO RODGERS photography

I am an award winning photographer from the Mediterranean island of Malta. I am also a Doctorate and MBA graduate in the fields of Finance and Human Resources Management and Development, attending Universities and academic institutions both in Malta and the UK.

While the Maltese islands are my permanent base, our offices as Mario Rodgers Photography can be reached locally, both in mainland Malta and the sister island of Gozo, as well as in the United Kingdom, at Stretford, Manchester.

Photography

I have been in love with my camera in hand since a very tender age. Experiencing the full transition from film and darkroom processing to the digital world of sensors, digital technology, files, captures and post processing.

Being close to nature and natural habitat is an integral part of my syntax, my true self and what makes me tick as a living being. This in fact is transposed in my photography, mostly in the form of fieldwork close to mother nature, shooting landscapes, seascapes, coastlines, etc. However, my love for photography spans much more than that. I engage with light and emotions in and wherever I get synchronised; such as in people, places, events and different cultures. Ultimately, my love for photography stems from my passion to create art.

Light and Emotions

For me, photography is a wonderful medium that enables the creation of art. Photography is my passion; the camera is my soul mate. Me and my camera seek to engage in a trance with the Light and Emotions that happen to lure us into a wonderful state of unprecedented joy and peace: being one with life itself and the world around, as well as beyond, us.

Light and Emotions: I see, feel, compose, get engaged and capture the 'experience': Art has been created!
